That's how we started. We had a heartbeat for fashion, but made a conscious decision to not let scrap textiles from the apparel industry go to waste. We chose to breathe new life into materials that otherwise would be forgotten and, sadly, dumped for mama Earth to worry about.

The result? A collection of inspired, upcycled, recycled and organic clothing that's one-of-a-kind. Accountable and dreamy, mindful and folksy, authentic and mystical. It's a state of mind.

Returns & Exchanges

Return instructions: Please follow the instructions on the return slip included in your order. All returns must be returned within 30 days of receipt to the address below. Please include your order number on the outside of the package and send to this address:

ALL returns must be unworn, unwashed merchandise

ALL sale and/or discounted items are final

If you return an item that is not eligible for return, you are responsible for the cost of shipping it back to you.

If any returns do not meet these requirements, you will be contacted and the items must be returned to you. We reserve the right to refuse any refund if we believe the items purchased have any signs of wear, alteration, damage, or misuse. People of Leisure is NOT responsible for any shipping charges that may occur from a return. The original shipping charges are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Return Process: Once we have received the return and it is approved, your refund will be credited back to the original method of payment used to make the purchase. Your refund will be processed within 7 business days. You will be notified via email with the address from when the order was placed. Please note that your banking or credit card company may take longer to process the refund and to contact them regarding any pending transaction. It may take up to 5-7 business days once they've received the information from us.

If you would like to exchange an item for another color or size, please message or contact us via email [email protected] to ensure that the new item is available. We will only accept returns for exchange if they meet all criteria for an acceptable return (see above). Please make sure to note the exchange on the return form. We will ship the exchange to you at our expense (does not apply to international orders).

Shipping Policy

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping orders: Most orders ship within 1-2 business days of purchase. Shipping times may vary due to availability of merchandise. Orders are not shipped on weekends or holidays. As soon as your order ships, you will receive an email confirmation.

All orders shipped will require a signature upon delivery. Please provide a valid physical shipping address where someone will be present to sign for the package. After 3 attempts of delivery for signature, the package will be returned to the shipper and the customer will be held responsible for the freight charges incurred both ways irrespective of the free shipping offered at the time of order.

We do not ship to PO boxes. Please provide a physical address.

Express Shipping

Express orders placed before 3 PM(PST) will be shipped out on the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff will be shipped out on the next business day.

International Shipping

People of Leisure ships to all countries currently serviced by FedEx or UPS. Please send us a message if you have any issues placing an international order or if you do not see your country listed when checking out.

Transit Time

Typical transit time for international orders is 5-7 days. Once the order reaches the ship to country, it may take additional days for your shipment to be cleared through customs. Customs clearance times vary by country and are at the discretion of the customs agency in the destination country.

Taxes & Duties

The international shipping charge does not include customs duties/taxes, which may be charged separately by the carrier. All applicable customs fees, taxes and duties are the sole responsibility of the customer. Custom authorities require that we state the value of your order directly on your package. It is at the sole discretion of the custom agents to release your package. For more information, consult your local customs office.

All international shipments are final sale.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel orders placed with us at People of Leisure, please contact us by phone or by sending a message through the "Message" system accessible at the top of any page. Cancellation requests should be made within the same day the order was placed. Cancellations require authorization before order completion and we reserve the right to charge up to 15% of the value of the canceled merchandise for handling. Confirmed cancellations will be reflected in the "Order Status" section under "Status" after they have been approved.
